Non-smoking restaurants and cafes in Yokohama

Japan tightened indoor-smoking rules in 2020; most restaurants are non-smoking, with designated smoking rooms still permitted in some venues. Yokohama is a coastal city immediately south of Tokyo in Kanagawa Prefecture and one of Japan's main port cities. The main dining areas are in Chinatown (Yokohama Chukagai), one of the largest Chinatowns in Asia, concentrated around Yamashita Park; the Minato Mirai waterfront district with its modern restaurant complexes around the Landmark Tower area; and the Motomachi shopping street and the Kannai district in the city center. Yokohama is also associated with the origin of ramen in Japan — yoshoku (Western-influenced Japanese food) and Chinese-Japanese cuisine are particularly prominent in the city's food identity.

The directory currently lists 238 verified non-smoking venues in Yokohama. Use the map to find them across Chinatown, Minato Mirai, and the city center.
