Non-smoking restaurants and cafes in Izmir

Türkiye banned indoor smoking in 2009; cafes and restaurants are legally smoke-free, though terraces remain a common smoking area. Izmir is a coastal city on the Aegean Sea in western Türkiye, the country's third-largest city. The main dining and cafe areas are along the Kordon, the long seafront promenade in the Alsancak district that is lined with cafes and restaurants; in Alsancak itself, particularly the streets around Kıbrıs Şehitleri Caddesi; and in the Kemeraltı bazaar district in the city center, which has traditional tea houses and lokanta alongside its market stalls. Izmir has a reputation for Aegean-style food — olive oil-based dishes, fresh fish, and mezes — distinct from the cuisine of Istanbul or Ankara.

The directory currently lists 30 verified non-smoking venues in Izmir. Use the map to find them along the Kordon and in Alsancak.
